Happily ever after?
Anyway, while scrolling through a few the other day I saw one I didn't like. It said "live happily ever after." You probably wonder how I cannot like that. The thing is, it's not that I don't like it, it's just that I don't believe in it.
I have a very hard time believing that there will come a time in life when you are always happy. When all heartaches and problems have disappeared and every second of your life is filled with joy. I don't think that life is like in the fairy tales.
There will always be hard things you have to deal with. It can be smaller things, and it can be lifechanging things. If you go around waiting or hoping for a day when all that will go away, I believe you are waiting in vain. And the days where you had the oppurtunity to live life and be happy will pass you by while you were hoping for better times to come.
I believe that you have to learn to live with your problems. You have to find ways to be happy the best you can, because life is what it is and you can't always prevent bad things from happening. And I know that life is unfair, but complaining about that will not make it any easier.
If you understand that life will be fantastic sometimes, and terrible others, throughout your whole life - you will find happiness. At least I believe so.
