Today me and Monja decided to go hiking. It turned out to be an eternity-hike haha, at least it felt so. At first the taxi driver left us at the wrong spot, so we walked for one and a half hour without finding the trail. It was a beautiful road we walked on though, far up in the mountains with only a few houses among the way. The houses were so nice... Wouldn't mind having a mountain-house like that overlooking the bay of Santa Barbara.

 

After walking the whole way down the road again we got help from a woman in a car. She drove us to the trailhead and from there we could start our hiking. Helpful people like that are amazing.

 

The other hikes I have been to have taken about 30 minutes to get to the top of the mountain. Monja and I walked and walked and walked but we never got to a top. The trail went sick sack and between different mountains, which made the way very long. After about an hour we came to a road (!?), so weird to be in the woods/mountains and suddenly a road just appears, however it was a nice view there so we took a few pictures and went down again. We had to give up since Monja had an appointment later on.

 

So, I have been walking + hiking for 4 hours today. I am EXHAUSTED. It was 4 good hours though; lovely environment and a good friend by my side!
